Treasurer
Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be responsible for financial management, including keeping all appropriate fiscal records ensuring that appropriate fiscal records are kept, and ensuring that all funds are recorded, spent, and monitored consistent with funder requirements, legal requirements, and sound financial management.
A valid Membership is required for Board Members
Responsibilities
Present a financial statement at the monthly board meeting
Keep record of all financial records
Monitor expenses by activities
Work with event coordinators to create event budgets
Ensure taxes are filed
Help coordinate at least one of the yearly activities
Participate in the Yearly planning meeting
Be willing to fill an open position on the board other than the president
Execute any other task to ensure the health and safety of the members and the Association
Time Commitment
2 Years Term (Jan. 2024 - Dec. 2025)
Board meetings ( 1 per month - approximately 2 hours each)
Creation of Monthly Financial statement (1 hour per month)
Creation of Yearly Financial statement (2 to 3 hours)
Yearly Election Planning meeting ( 3 hours year)
Coordination of activity (10 to 20 hours per activity)
Yearly planning meeting (10 hours)
Skills
Passion for the Organization’s Mission
Have experience in dealing with large sums of money and budgets
Have experience in financial control and budgeting
Be capable of handling figures and cash
Have an eye for detail
Knowledge of Google tools (Gmail, Google Drive)
Knowledge of Office tools ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Quicken)
Have an orderly mind and methodical way of thinking
Be available to be contacted for ad hoc advice
